Allenstown Square

V Architecture was engaged by the Charter Hall Group to prepare a redevelopment Development Approval of the Rockhampton shopping centre, Allenstown Square. The centre is anchored by Woolworths and the majority of the leased tenants are national operators, including The Reject Shop, Australia Post, Liquor Land, Optical Superstore, Connect Hearing and Prouds.

The Development Approval required an appreciation of the prominence of both the existing shopping centre and the adjoining land parcels to the Allenstown local community. The development expansion needed to reinforce the centre’s relevance as both a local place maker; as well as a convenient shopping and dining destination.
